Robert (Bobby) Palmer, MD

Dr. Bobby Palmer is a proud 5th generation Floridian and joined Pediatric Orthopedics of Southwest Florida in April of 2023. Dr. Palmer completed his fellowship at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital where he spent a year focusing on the latest clinical practices and treatment modalities in pediatric orthopedics and spine surgery. He also spent an additional 3 months of training focused on pediatric orthopedic sports injuries.
Prior to fellowship in Dallas, Dr. Palmer graduated medical school from the University of Central Florida. He then traveled to Jacksonville, FL for his Orthopedic Surgery residency which included training sites at the University of Florida, Nemours and the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Palmer spent a year abroad in Santiago, Chile as well as Granada, Spain through a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship, and is fluent in Spanish. He values the importance of giving back to communities at home and abroad and has participated in short term medical trips in several resource poor countries.
When he is not working, Dr. Palmer enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, and their dog Bella. They enjoy the outdoors, especially anything at the beach or on the water. Dr. Palmer is incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to care for southwest Florida’s children.
